SIGN BY SIDE
To hear the unheard voice
Who Are We?
We are Sign by Side, an organization founded by a group of high school students around the world. The name signifies our mission to bridge the gap between the hearing society and the deaf community through sign language.
Through establishing this organization, our goal is to increase awareness and understanding of the culture and challenges faced by deaf society. We aim to foster mutual communication and learning, aiming to reconnect the deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals with the cultural fabric of the hearing community, rediscovering those 'voices' that have been 'unheard.'
Actions Taken
Operating across three countries, we have embarked on a mission to create a positive impact within our communities and beyond. Our journey began with on-ground initiatives aimed at raising awareness about sign languages and supporting the deaf community. We strongly believe in the power of inclusivity, and that belief drives us to organize community events that foster understanding and acceptance.
In addition to our local efforts, we have harnessed the reach of online platforms to amplify our message globally. Through strategic use of social media, we engage with a wide audience, spreading awareness about sign languages and advocating for the rights and needs of the deaf community. Our online presence serves as a hub for valuable resources, educational content, and inspiring stories.
